“A Matter of Life” is a new documentary film in the works that tells the exceptional story of Dr. David Servan-Schreiber, author of the book Anticancer: A New Way of Life, which documents his 20 year fight with terminal brain cancer and his extensive research into a science based anti-cancer diet and lifestyle.
The film features patients, caregivers, doctors and experts who are part of the growing movement that wants to go beyond drugs, and take an integrative approach to fighting cancer and staying healthy. Right up our alley!
I spent some time with the filmmakers earlier this year and it’s clear that they are passionate about being a catalyst for change in the arena of health and the healthcare industry.
I guess they liked what I had to say… cause I ended up in the movie!
Well at least in the trailer anyway, let’s hope I don’t end up on the cutting room floor. LOL!
Nutrition is such a critical part of health and disease prevention, but for the most part the medical industry is ignoring it.
This film could be a major step in raising awareness about nutrition and natural therapies. The world needs to know!
I am so thrilled and honored to be a part of this.
Check out the trailer!

Wow! That was a very powerful preview! When will this be released? I hope that David wins his battle, as it appears he is not doing well. Congrats on the movie debut, Keep spreading the word and hope will continue to flourish.
Awesome Chris. Looking forward to see this out.
I would *love* to know what are they saying. Care to let the director know to please add subtitles for the deaf/hard of hearing but not just beneficial for the deaf, but for everybody with any kind of hearing loss, those learning English or with limited English proficiency, and for the owners of the video as their video will be searchable.
So happy to see you part of this movie! Congratulations!
Excellent trailer. :)
Can’t wait to read the book. So glad you’re in this film. You have a lot to say and a lot to offer. I am thrilled I get to know you and know the person you are becoming. Thank you for wanting to share all this with us. When does the film come out?
Thanks Jeanne that’s so sweet. :)
They haven’t announced a release date yet, I’ll definitely post it when I find out!
This brought the most happy tears rolling down my face! Words cant describe how brave and beautiful you all are! Thank You.
I read the first edition and am working on the second. I recommend “Anti-Cancer” to everyone who shows interest because I believe it’s not just for the sick! Everyone should follow the recommendations! Like the author, I’m battling brain cancer. I really look forward to seeing this
I have learned so much from you. Many times you were the springboard for my research into alternative therapies. It was too late for my daughter but I hope and pray that it will make a difference in our lives and the lives of my grandchildren. I’ve seen the other side meaning the conventional treatment of cancer. Fear is one of their greatest weapons to use to get people moving quickly using the “cut, burn, and poison” method. Keep on keeping on, Chris and Micah. You are both beautiful inspirations!
Hi Carol, thank you so much for sharing.
It will make a difference. As you’ve seen firsthand, the brutality and results of standard cancer treatments are unacceptable. Her story is just as important as mine. People are waking up.
The trailer was inspiring. My 28 year old daughter has been fighting cancer for 3 years already. Every time they treat one area and it is “clean”, it comes back somewhere else. Now it is in her lungs. She is a mother of 4 and wants to live and see her children grow up, get married and have their own children. I have started investigating alternatives to the chemo, radiate and cut treatments. Any help I get from anyone is greatly appreciated, but it must be documented that it works or else she won’t do it.
I cannot wait to see the movie and hope that we can get the word out that there is hope and it is not all about the pharma’s way of adressing cancer. I once had Hodgkins disease and although at that time I received radiation I also went to a nutritionist who helped me and here I am 22 years later. My mind is made up if it ever came back I would take the natural route…unfortunately that means going to Mexico for treatment……
Chris,
I am so ready to see the rest of this movie. I found myself laughing again at your Sloppy Joe story, and them within seconds bawling at the woman shaving her hair with her family.
So glad to be part of the movement in treating cancer preventatively and systemically!

After seeing this trailer, I went out and got the book. I’ve started reading it and probably will finish it this weekend.
Chris,
What a fantastic trailer…can’t wait to see the whole movie…had tears watching it….have come across so many people lately battling all types of cancer….this is such an inspiration to all. Thanks so much for sharing….have forwarded to so many people that I know could benefit and have even posted this on my fb page…. Continue living well!
This looks very interesting! Can’t wait to see it when it comes out. Why are only 65% of cancers preventable? Which ones? Why aren’t all kinds of cancers preventable?
That figure is acknowledged by the industry. I personally believe all cancers are preventable.
