The Best Exercise For Your Immune System:
Rebounding!

Here’s a video I made about rebounding and the ReboundAIR trampoline I use. Below it, is a detailed blog post about rebounding. Enjoy!

Let’s be honest about the immune system, most of us really have no idea what it is, or exactly how it works, we’re just glad we have one.

The immune system is incredibly complex because your body has many lines of defense to rid itself of foreign invaders. In this post I’m going to address one critical component of your immune system. That is your lymphatic system.

Here’s a quick anatomy lesson (I’m going to try to keep this really simple)

Your lymphatic system is composed of your tonsils, thymus, bone marrow, spleen, lymphatic fluid, vessels, and lymph nodes.

The thymus and bone marrow produce white blood cells called lymphocytes.

Your blood vessels deliver oxygen and nutrients to your cells.

Your lymph vessels are like blood vessels except they are full of clear lymphatic fluid that carries white blood cells (B cell and T cell lymphocytes) throughout your body so they can attack invaders and infected cells.

Your lymphatic fluid also carries dead cells, metabolic waste, and toxins away from healthy tissue to be eliminated through sweat, mucus, urine, and liver bile which is carried out in your poop.

Lymph nodes are like holding stations that filter the lymph fluid and capture microbes for B and T cells to deal with. They are located in your armpits, groin, neck and around the blood vessels of your chest and abdomen.

(End of anatomy lesson)

Every day we are bombarded with toxins in our environment and in our food which is why detoxification is such a critical process in your body. If the detox process is hindered, toxins will build up in your body eventually causing acidity and toxemia. These are the root causes of nearly all disease.

You have about three times more lymphatic fluid than blood, but here’s the catch, there’s no pump!  Muscle contractions in your body encourage the lymphatic fluid to circulate through a series of one-way valves in your body. So the more you move your body, the more you move your lymphatic fluid.

One of the lesser talked about benefits of exercise is that it moves your lymphatic fluid, which promotes detoxification in your body.

Your skin is the largest detoxification organ and if you exercise vigorously enough to raise your body temperature  you will sweat, expelling toxins out through your skin.

The Best Exercise for Your Lymph System

Back in 2004 when I first started to research natural therapies I read every natural cancer survival testimony I could find. I found many common threads, and one of them was jumping on a mini trampoline, aka Rebounding. I figured since so many natural survivors and health practitioners were doing it there must be something to it…

Rebounding creates an increased G-force resistance (gravitational load) and positively stresses every cell in your body. As a result, it strengthens your entire musculoskeletal system: your bones, muscles, connective tissue, and even organs.  And it promotes lymphatic circulation by stimulating the millions of one-way valves in your lymphatic system.
Sounds pretty good right?

In addition, rebounding is very low impact and allows you to do jumping and aerobic exercises for much longer intervals than you could on solid ground without tiring out or creating harmful oxidative and adrenal stress.

NASA produced a report about the benefits of rebounding, which you can read here.

The Three Basic Rebounding Exercises:

The Health Bounce is gently bouncing up and down on a rebounder without your feet leaving the mat.  It is very low impact and very effective at moving your lymphatic system. Most folks can easily do this for an hour or more while watching tv.

The Strength Bounce is jumping as high as you can. It strengthens primary and stabilizer muscles throughout your body, improves your balance, and moves your lymphatic system like nothing else.  That’s what you want to work up to.

Aerobic Bouncing is jumping jacks, twisting, running in place, bouncing on one leg at a time, dancing, and any other crazy maneuvers you can think of. Doing these high intensity aerobic exercises will get your blood pumping and your sweat on.

If you are too weak to jump you can sit on the rebounder and bounce gently in a seated position. I bought my ReboundAIR rebounder in 2004 a few months after abdominal surgery, and found it too painful to really jump on at first, so I just did the health bounce. As my body healed, the pain went away and I started doing the Strength and Aerobic Bouncing.

While healing cancer I did this 2-3 times per day
My typical routine is to warm up for a couple minutes with the health bounce, 5-10 minutes of strength and aerobic bounce variations, and finish up with another couple minutes of the health bounce. I put on headphones and listened to worship music or healing scriptures while bouncing. This is an amazing way to start the day.

To maximize the benefit of your rebound workout:

-Drink 12-16 oz of clean filtered water beforehand.

-Do it outside and connect with God and nature. (If nature permits)

-Take at least 10 deep breaths of fresh air while you do it.

-Get sunlight on as much of your body as you can.

-If possible do it with enough intensity to break a sweat. Give yourself 7-20 minutes.

Sweating is important, but it also means you’ll need a shower afterward. The nice thing about rebounding is you can still get a benefit from it even if you don’t break a sweat. Try to get at least one sweaty rebounder workout per day. I do it first thing in the morning before I shower for the day. If you can’t do it outside, do it inside. Just do it!

My wife Micah even used a rebounding workout dvd to lose her baby weight after our first daughter was born.

Not all rebounders are created equal

The quality of the frame, springs and mat are extremely important. Cheap rebounders are harder on your joints and can cause injury, also they wear out quickly, and have no warranty.

I’ve used a ReboundAir since 2004 and I highly recommend it.

ReboundAir was founded by Al Carter, THE pioneer of rebound exercise.
In fact my mom even has his original book The Miracle of Rebound Exercise from 1979!

The ReboundAir has a Lifetime All Parts Warranty.
They used them on The Biggest Loser campus and ReboundAir has been featured on CBS “The Doctors” television show twice. Cool right?

They make three models: the Standard rebounder, the Classic Half-Fold, and the Ultimate Quarter-Fold.

The Quarter-Fold model is really cool because it folds in half twice (I demonstrate how to fold and unfold it in the video). If you don’t see your self folding and unfolding it often then I recommend the Standard or the Half-Fold models.

Awesome, my friend! I’ve been considering rebounding for some time. Heard of the health benefits, but never gave it a try myself. At least not since I was a kid an just called it “jumping on a trampoline”

I was about to ask where you got the dope trifold rebounder in your video, then I saw the link. Thanks for that!

    1. Patricia

      Chris,
I first heard about rebounding when I read a book called “The Cure”. I was wondering if you have read it. If not I know you would enjoy it. It says many of the things you have said on your website. It is a great book – one of the best I have read.

      Patricia

  2. Judy Seeger, ND

I’ve had a mini-trampoline for over 20 years and agree 100% with Chris – ANYTHING and everything that can move your lymphatic system is excellent when you have cancer. Well worth the money as far as therapy goes.

  3. Jane

I’ve neer heard of rebounding before but am intrigued and will pick one up over the weekend. Chris, do you think moving your lymphatic fluid might be a bad idea for someone with multiple autoimmune diseases? Particularly IBD (inflammatory bowel disease)? Thanks so much for your inspirational posts.

    1. chrisbeatcancer

No. The movement of lymph is critical to all healing. :)

      1. Robyn

Hi Chris, have just undergone bowel resection – 2 weeks ago – and now recovering from surgery. Will face chemo for multiple liver spots starting in couple of weeks. I already own a quality rebounder, and certainly believe in its power to stimulate the lymphatic system. What I need to know, can I start gentle rebounding before I start the chemo or will that stimulate the cancer. Or should I wait for chemo to start before starting rebounding. I have an uphill battle but want to do everything possible to overcome it.

      2. Mia

I 36-yr. mom of 2 boys with stage 4 lung cancer with brain mets (25 lesions) & I was wondering if you know of any with the brain issue who did rebounding or how is it done safely? Thanks & God bless you.

        1. Chris Wark

          Hi Mia
I can’t think of anyone specific who rebounded for brain cancer, but for what it’s worth
I have never read anything that would discourage someone from rebounding if they had brain cancer either.

        2. Dara

          Prayers to you, dear

      3. Starr Brigante

What if you have Lymphatic Cancer??? I have Difuse Large B Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I’m concerned that rebounding would spread the cancer cells through my body. Can you explain please?

        1. Pamelagail

I would like the answer to this question, also.

          1. terry

Pamelagail… look at the post above. I just answered not knowing that it was a yr. ago. I see yours was just 19 days ago. Hope you get my answer. ,

        2. terry

I too have Lymphoma non hodgkins cancer stage 1. I have no fears about doing rebounding because I know it is very important to detox the lymphatic system. I do alot of detoxicing. I am not afraid of adding something that will help fill my lungs with more oxygen. That helps the cancer cells die verses spread. The reason we have cancer is that we don’t get enough oxygen into our cells. I have read some great books. One is Called Radical Remission by Dr. Kelly; the other is called “The China Study”. By Dr. Tom Collins. ( this book is pretty high tech because he is explores everything and he does research and has been paid to do so and even though he finds things to help us understand how to help ourselves the gov. doesn’t do anything to correct what makes us sick. that’s the truth. great read. Education is everything when you have life looking you in the face. I say.. rebound!!

  4. Jennifer

Could you do this on a full sized trampoline?

  5. LeAnn Weaver

Hi Chris – love the video – what about EWOT? I just read about it. Sounds intriguing.

    1. Rosalynde

So I realize this past from Leanne is a couple years old but I’ve just recently been introduced to ewot myself. I have signed up myself and my son for ewot. We have our own masks and own protocols. Mine is for detoxing heavy lead poisoning that I found I had by doing a heavy metal test through urine and my son for his epilepsy and occasional seizures. There are many you tube videos that explain how ewot works but in a nut shell disease can’t survive in highly oxygenated environments and oxygen us also a natural anti inflammatory. We couldn’t live without breathing and neither can our cells. Ewot floods the cells in our body with oxygen and helps improve overall health. It can regenerate damaged cells. When we think about getting our cells properly it’s scary to think about the typical American diet and how it is slowly weakening and sometimes sophocating our billions of tiny cells that make up our whole being. If they’re not healthy we’re not healthy. Anyone interested in learning more I can send video links that will boggle your mind on the number of benefits. SERIOUSLY! I’ve only been doing it fifteen minutes a day three days a week and it is indescribable unless you feel what it can do.

      1. Myra

I want to know about ewot. Please send info. Myra

  6. Jacky

Wonderful Chris, I have been doing it for years. I am 75 and mine has a bar to hold onto, which I really appreciate. You might demonstrate that too for us older folks. So thankful for your healing and for your message. All glory to Jesus.

  7. Laurel

Is it recommended that you wear walking shoes while rebounding because that’s what my instructions recommended and it keeps me from just getting on it anytime when I’m barefoot?

  8. Helen

Thank you so much! Love this! Hey, wanted to tell you something interesting, I was told not to do jumping jacks because it causes your brain to work unilaterally and switches your polarity. That’s why cross body motions are so good for your brain. Jumping jacks, jack it all up, LOL! I’m not a scientist and don’t explain it that well. You can look into more if you want. :)

  9. Barry Gourmet & Raw

Excellent article Chris and mainstream medicine does not talk much about this very important health subject.
Unlike the heart our lymph system needs out help every day to move the lymph fluid and to help the body detox via our skin pores.

People with desk jobs and live a sedentary life are at risk of having a sluggish lymphatic system . In fact it goes further than this even not moving your body will slow down your metabolism ( the efficiency of burning calories from your food intake) to a crawl so every body part is interconnected together and all functions can be adversely affected from not doing one simple thing and that is moving your body and lymph through exercise ,stretching such as yoga, and my favorite physical past time rebounding .

Rebounding on a small trampoline everyday with a few minutes set a side is one of the easiest and best things you can do for your bodies immune support and for moving your lymphatic system.

” It really comes down to this…….Move it or Lose it! ”
Healthy Regards Barry Anderson aka Barry Gourmet & Raw

  10. Naomi

i have my rebounder in my living room all set up and ready to go! thanks for recommending portable ones. just needed some encouragement to make this a part of my daily morning routine! Thanks, Chris! Namaste!

  11. zeke

OK, whats the second best excerise, I am 63 with stage 4 cancer, not about to be jumping around on a trampoline and break my neck.

    1. chrisbeatcancer

Hi Zeke, “health bouncing” is very safe because your feet never leave the mat. If balance and mobility are a serious concern you can also order a stabilizer bar to hold onto. It attaches to the rebounder.

That really is the best, but walking, light running, and jumping jacks are also really good ways to move the lymph system.

      1. chrisbeatcancer

I should also add that my mom is your age and jumps on a rebounder too!

    2. terry

sit down and do it.. bounce on your butt, bottom whatever you want to call it. It will work that way too. I can’t do it standing because I have a bladder prolapse. :) be safe and get what you can out of it!! I am..

  12. Jeanne

I was working out on the Elliptical today and after reading this post last night I was wondering if this could be a close exercise? It has smoother effect but it still has you moving up and down. What’s your thoughts on it?

    1. Patricia

      Not the same

  13. Karen

Thanks, Chris! I know you mentioned rebounding a while back, but I didn’t know how to get started. Your video plus your explanation of the lymphatic system were so helpful. And rebounding looks fun and so easy. Gonna get started right away! Blessings from Taiwan ~

  14. dlove4life

Love the rebounder…on it right now.stage 4 cancer and will heal this body the natural way…

  15. WSP

To all cancer survivors: Please continue to fight the fight and keep your faith in God. My husband died of cancer and as long as you can keep your hope and faith, it will help your love ones to do the same! Blessings to you

  16. Andy

Hey man, thanks for the awesome info and the lymphatic diagram. I was just literally thanking God for sparing me and my wife from cancer, through a series of “Coincidences”. Don’t know if you’ve heard of cancer salves or essiac tea, but I put some on a tiny skin cancer and my whole neck is errupting, and gues what it’s following – yep the lymphatic nodes…….

Needles to say i’m – scared, kind of awestruck and obviously thankful.

I can send through pics if ya want….. my jaw is still dropping :)

  17. Feri

We bought a huge trampoline for the kids last summer! Can use this to do these excercises or is a small more effective?
    Thanks a million

  18. Tom

Chris, from you understanding of this, would not moving the lymphatic fluids increase the possibility of metastasis if other lymph nodes are cancerous? Thanks for your website and response.

    1. Chris Wark

I know it seems like you would be helping the cancer spread, but the lymphatic fluid has to move in order for your body to detox and heal cancer. The lymph fluid is always moving. If your lymph fluid stopped completely you would die of internal toxicity. This why people who are permanently bed ridden experience much faster health decline.

And research has even shown that physical activity improves cancer survival rates there’s one recent study that comes to mind called
“The role of diet and physical activity in breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer survivorship”
      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22048034

  19. Romulus

WOW!! Great idea & I LOOOVE the rebounding routines. Me thinks the sprints on the rebounder would “quickly” improve my first step when playing street-ball. :-)
I’m gonna BUY one of these babies. :-)

  20. Romulus

That rebounder is also a GREAT way to meet skirts who wanna get into fitness! Yah, come by my place…I’ve got 2 rebounders. LOL!! :-)

  21. Wendy

Love your blog, Chris. I’m caring for someone with Hodgkins Lymphoma going through alternative treatment, but has had drastic weight loss in the past few months. He also has swelling in neck and armpit.
Any recommendations to gain weight and reduce swelling?
Thank you and may God bless you.

    1. Chris Wark

Thanks Wendy. If they aren’t able to maintain a healthy weight, they just have to eat more calorie dense foods.
      Especially more protein and fat.
My coconut fruit smoothie is a good start.
      Also avocados.
After 90 days raw my naturopath added clean meats 3 times per week back into my diet as well as cooked veggies at night. That helped me tremendously. See my FAQ page

  22. barb

Thank you for this information, Chris. I have one of the “cheaper” models due to budgeting restraints ;(.
I just won’t do too much of the strength and sprints, I suppose. The last thing I need is wear and tear on the joints.
    God Bless You!

  23. AMELIA

Chris, SO happy you are well, cancer free, and inspirational to so many! I just ordered the Quarter Fold and so appreciate your video, wisdom, and recommendations. Looking forward to learning from you and getting healthy again. You are amazing in every way! Thanks.

  24. Margarita

Chris, thank you so much for your posts!!! Very informational, helpful and inspiring! I’ve recently seen at my chiropractor office a device called a Vibration plate or platform. It looks like it could be a perfect device just like a rebounder (or even better :) Just wanted to share this with you and your readers.

I found some information over here:
    http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/fitness/equipment/what-is-a-vibration-plate.html

“Above and beyond the fitness advantages, the vibrations can assist in the production of hormones that repair and revitalize cells. Blood circulation is enhanced in the muscles, and bone tissue is reinforced. Use of vibration therapy can also promote the drainage of lymph nodes and increase overall metabolic rate.”

Please tell us what you think about it! :)

    1. Chris Wark

Yes I’ve used a vibration plate. Obviously different than a rebounder, but beneficial.
The only negative is that a good one is at least $900.

      1. Margarita

I found some on Amazon for as low as $154 (plus shipping). Chris, did you like it while you were using it?

  25. Gregblair

have heard of rebounding before but your expaination of how it stimulates the circulation of the lymphatic system has made it much more compelling. Thank You!!

  26. myo

Have you tried the Cellerciser mini trampoline (cellerciser.com)? Much easier on joints than Rebounder used to be. Maybe the Rebounder has improved over time.

    1. Chris Wark

A friend of mine has one. They are a good brand as well. I didn’t notice much difference.

  27. Deb

I get very fatigued after exercise and I wonder if it’s because toxins are released into my system and it makes me feel sick and very, very tired. Sometimes I’ll get sick and break out with herpes cold sores. Is there anything I can do to prevent this and still exercise?

    1. Chris Wark

It could be a detox reaction… Also extreme exercise suppresses the immune system. You may be overdoing it…
It’s hard for me to answer without knowing what you are doing.
But rebounding should not have that effect at all.

  28. Deb

It happens from just doing a brisk mile walk with some hills or the eliptical machine on the lowest setting for 15 minutes. Maybe I’m just starting out too much to fast?

    1. Chris Wark

That may be it. Sounds like you may be really weak and out of shape. Start slow but make sure you are walking every day.

    2. Kellie

Fatigue during or immediately following exercise is often an indication of adrenal burnout or insufficiency. I see this was posted many months ago, but thought this may be helpful to know.

  29. Beverly

Thank you for the awesome website! You are very inspiring! I am interested in getting a mini-trampoline for my husband who has Squamous Cell Carcinoma. If we can’t afford the trampoline that you used, are there others ones that would work but not as expensive? Also, if the cancer is in the lymphnodes, will jumping on the trampoline cause the cancer to spread?

    1. Chris Wark

Hi Beverly, any trampoline is better than no trampoline.
But the cheap ones may wear out faster.
You have to move your lymph system to detoxify your body. It is critical to healing.
I did not worry about it making cancer spread.

  30. Adie

    Chris,
You website full of great information helps so many. You are an inspiration and example. God bless you.

  31. April Jo

Thank you for your info. I just started rebounding, but can only do it for one minute. NO JOKE! I have fibromyalgia. But I WILL get there. Again, thank you for your info.

  32. karen

Hi Chris, recently diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. I had the surgery for removal.
Chemo was recommended. I want to refuse it. So much pressure from medical establishment, family and friends. Started researching found you. Have been an avid juicer for 36 years. No smoking, no drinking, no redmeats, no sugar. Still believe in this, but perhaps should have been doing something else. I believe severe stress was a great factor in my diagnosis. I am encouraged by you. Is it the total raw food that is the cure. Are all animal products eliminated? I am 59, first time in 40 years that I ever had a health issue and feel my way of life was responsible until now. Any suggestions? You have discussed the lymphatic system better than any dr.

    1. JLM

      Dear Karen,
Please check your Vitamin D levels. Please get plenty of Sun Light. Wishing you well

  33. Melissa

Just wanted to point out that your comment on reduced oxidative stress from rebounding is not really accurate. It doesn’t matter what activity you’re doing, if you’re working in you’re aerobic zone for a long duration (long steady duration training, or endurance) then oxidative stress is occurring in the body, regardless of if its high or low impact. Correct me if I’m wrong please! :)

  34. Evie

Is the rebounder just for improving lymphatic productivity or can it be an exercise tool – Love aerobic activities -dance, fast walking…but am considering adding this to my regime.

  35. Soi

    Hello everyone,
(I’ll keep the “thank yous” short:
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Thank you Chris for creating this website.)

    Now a question:
Wouldn’t jumping rope be similarly beneficial as rebounding??? (Say YES! I’m an avid jumper)

  36. Donnas

I have a rejuvenator, are they as good as rebounders?

  37. Julie

Hi Chris, is rebounding on a Pilates reformer a good choice. I can get my heart rate to its target zone, and it’s fun. Thank you for sharing your life’s journey with us. God bless you.

  38. Melinda

Thank you, I have started using mine again. It is an older one and half closes. I also wanted to suggest using nasal breathing only not blowing out the mouth as we lose too much CO2. Dr Buteyko and Patrick McKeown have shown this in their work. The Buteyko Method also helps all cells and the lymph if there is enough CO2. It is the Bohr Effect. Just in case you want to look it up. ; )

  39. Carla

Hi Chris. I have an old rebounder and my daughter has a big backyard trampoline. When I started regularly rebounding – on each, the pain in my feet was too much and I had to stop. (My feet have constant moderate pain that I believe started as a side effect of my Aromatase inhibitor – which I have since stopped, but do not yet feel improvement.) Do you think the kind of rebounder you recommend would make enough of a difference that I would be able to continue to use it? Thanks.

    1. Chris Wark

Hi Carla I don’t think it would make a difference if you are getting pain in your feet from jumping on other ones

      1. Carla

Thanks Chris – I’m going to try sitting and the health bounce until the pain goes away – and I know it will!!

  40. Jimmy Roberson

my dad had to have his knees repalced becase of all the running in the army. the cartlegde wears out…anyone have opion on this? this boucning and running…is this not bad on your knees/cartelge?

  41. Kate Beall

Just wanted to add that I LOVE the Bellicon rebounder! Bought it a few months ago after trying a friend’s and doing some research. It literally makes me happy and feels like I’m jumping on a fluffy white cloud. I jump in front of a mirror which I feel helps me to keep my balance and find myself smiling throughout the workout.

  42. Brandon

You surely inspired me Chris! Thanks for sharing this insight and I sure did share this myself.

  43. Moonweaver

I new there was a reason I’ve always loved trampolining! I used a rebounder as a child and fell instantly in love, then bought my own 3 years ago. I have been so eager to get back into rebounding daily since I became pregnant, and now my baby is 5 weeks old, I hope to “jump” back into it within the next few weeks! Thank you for your sharing, you’re inspiring.. :)
    Blessings!

  44. CaliGuy27 .

Whats up and congrats that you beat that bacteria mutation in your body. I know i have sumthing wrong with my right lung and maybe live too. In my past was a pill popper and was a heavy heavy cig smoker.. I guess life is catching up to me and right now I’m at age 31 gonna being obtaining my investors license.. I was suppose to get into the med field but learned too damn much and heard what the docs say bout patients. Didn’t agree and changed majors into finances to help families and elders ppl to get the right accounts with high interest on their money. Never work for your money, have your money work for you. Anyways….. Since I have the knowledge that I have in the human anatomy I know when sumthing is up with the internal environment. I’m going to be starting the “gorilla milk” from Lou Corona and rebound exercise. I can already feel and health difference from doing the rebounder after a week and my body is getting toned. I will never do chemo or radiation therapy cause of the high percent rate of deaths of those treatments. I’m gonna have to change my diet and lifestyle to get positive feedback to myself. I will let you know the progress of the scans once I get them and keep everyone updated (I just have to save this site in my book marks lol).
Ppl needs to understand and do their own research what causes ailments to the human body and your body can overcome and defeat these problems without chemical drugs.. The three elements or aka aliens that cause harm to out bodies are- bacteria, fungus and viral infections aka mutations. Research for yourself and know the truth. Our bodies have the keys to defeat these ailments, but they will never tell the public.
Anyways I’m writing a book now lol. Congrats that you’re doing well and now it’s time for myself to change my diet and lifestyle to go back where god wants us to be. Organic foods and juices and not dead foods aka fast foods.

  45. Matt Kreinheder

Very interesting. I’ve heard people say it really helps them wake up and focus as well.

  46. Monica

After I red this, I order a rebounder. But what do you think about sauna in order to break a swet? Thank you, Cris

    1. BW090582

Monica, look into “near-infrared saunas” …not a typical steam sauna. I used to sit in the steam sauna at my gym to “sweat it out” and thought I was benefiting my body. Not so much. I stumbled upon an article about near infrared saunas and how much more heat penetrates the skin. It’s a massive difference. I bought 3 infrared lights and racks on Amazon for about $50 and installed them in my closet. The difference is PROFOUND. To take it up a notch, I put my rebounder in the closet too and turn the infrared lights on while I am jumping. I have never felt healthier in my life! Just make sure to drink at least half your body weight (in ounces) of water each day. So if you weigh 130 pounds, drink at least 65 ounces of water each day. if you weigh 150 pounds, then drink at least 75 ounces per day, etc…

Before I purchase a very expensive mini trampoline…I was just curious if there is any research that links trampolines to brain injury? Obviously one would want to avoid falling off, but I am talking about more subtle injury related to constantly bouncing up and down…similar to shaken baby syndrome. Or is it considered low impact on the brain as well because the trampoline absorbs most of this shock? Thank you!

Shaken Baby Syndrome is more likely caused by vaccine induced encephalitis. That kind of injury (that they call SBS), if inflicted by shaking, would be more a powerful back and forth jarring of the neck/head, not an up and down movement that you would get by jumping vertically.

I tend to believe that as well. Thank you for your response!

    Hi Chris,
I am a ‘newbie’ as I just purchased a reboundair rebounder in May 2014 and have just completed 50 consecutive days of use. I rebound each morning upon rising and before breakfast for 20 minutes. The last few days I have been experiencing significant persistent acid reflux and I wonder if rebounding has brought this on as I have not had any history of acid reflux before. Your thoughts please?

    1. Chris Wark

Hi Robert I have never heard of that… usually reflux is dietary… The best way to test this is to stop rebounding for a few days and see if it the reflux stops, then start back and see if it comes back. Keep me posted!

I have Lyme disease. Lyme bacteria like to hide in the lymph so many people with Lyme do rebounding, too. Also hydrotherapy and dry brushing help move lymph as well. So cool to see the how and why it works! Something both my Dad (cancer) and I (Lyme) can greatly benefit from!

  50. Please let me know if you’re looking for a article author for your site. You have some really good posts and I feel I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d love to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please send me an email if interested. Many thanks!
