Study: Gold nanoparticles kill cancer without chemo

16 Comments 08 February 2013

Lymphoma can be starved to death by depriving it of what appears to be a favorite food: high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. And gold does just that. A new nanoparticle appears to the cancerous lymphoma cell like a preferred meal of natural HDL. When the particle engages the cell, it plugs it up and blocks cholesterol from entering. Deprived of an essential nutrient, the cancer cell eventually dies.

Detox Your Life, Epic Health

My clean green beauty routine. By chemo-free survivor Cortney Campbell.

8 Comments 22 February 2014

An important aspect of preventing and healing cancer is to reduce your body's toxic load. But many of us are unknowingly poisoning and polluting ourselves with what we put IN and ON our bodies. The less toxins your body absorbs, the less work it has to do to detoxify. Make sense? An often overlooked source of chemical toxins are in the body care products we use daily: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, make-up, lotion, toothpaste… believe me, it all adds up. Today's post is a guest blog from my friend and fellow natural survivor Cortney Cambell of Anticancer Mom. I asked her to share her clean green beauty routine and favorite non-toxic personal care products, and she said yes, because she's awesome.

Green Smoothies, Budwig, and Essiac: Cortney’s Lymphoma Survival Story

39 Comments 03 February 2011

In early January I received a message through the blog from a young woman diagnosed with cancer at 26, just like me. She shared a little bit about her survival story and alternative therapy strategy. I thought it was so great that I asked her if she would do an interview. And she said yes! Instead of chemotherapy she decided to make hardcore diet and lifestyle changes along with alternative therapies, and had a huge surprise along the way. I really enjoyed this interview and I know you will too. Very powerful stuff.

Dr. Gonzalez Dismantles the Ketogenic Diet For Cancer

103 Comments 03 October 2013

In early 2012 I discovered the ketogenic diet for cancer. I've understood for many years that different diets work for different people and I was intrigued by it as a possible dietary strategy to heal cancer, so naturally I shared information about it on this site, thinking it might be a viable option for some. At that time there were no other sites as large as mine talking about it. In 2013, awareness of the keto diet exploded, mostly do to Dr. Mercola's articles, interviews and endorsement of it. Since then, many others have jumped on the bandwagon. Despite the zealous promoters of it, many of whom I have great respect for, my opinion of the ketogenic diet for cancer has changed. It started with several long phone conversations and email exchanges I had with my friend Dr. Patrick Vickers of Northern Baja Gerson Center. He was adamant that the ketogenic diet did not work in healing cancer long term. This coincided with the recurrence of cancer in someone I knew that was promoting the ketogenic diet as effective. It appeared to have some positive short term results for some people (shrinking tumors), but I was beginning to have some doubts about it working long term. Then came the coup de grace from Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, an article series on Natural Health 365, which I have reposted here.
