A strong immune system is key to health, vitality and longevity, but your immune system is not static, always operating at the same level every day of your life. Your immune system is dynamic; constantly adapting to stimuli and fluctuating in function depending upon available resources, the internal environment of your body and your external environment.
Your immune system can be strong, weak, or somewhere in the middle, depending on your diet and lifestyle choices, stress, and environmental factors.
A weak immune system = vulnerability to chronic and infectious disease.
A strong immune system = optimal health and disease prevention. That’s super immunity.
Your immune cells are your army, soldiers designed to seek and destroy harmful pathogens and cancer cells.
Your body is the battlefield, which can be easy or difficult to navigate for invaders and for your immune cells. Your diet and lifestyle choices play an important role here.
Think of nutrition as ammunition for your immune system. It makes your body less hospitable to infectious invaders and cancer cells (that’s called innate immunity) and strengthens immune cells like B cells, T cells and Natural Killer Cells.
Without key nutrients, you are fighting with a limited arsenal of weapons.
And unhealthy lifestyle choices make your body easy terrain for invaders to conquer.
A whole food plant-based diet, rich in fresh, mostly organic (if possible) fruit and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices, along with daily exercise, fresh air, sunshine, laughter, adequate sleep, great relationships and living a low-stress life are all key to foster and maintain a strong immune system.
But this post is about supplements, specifically supplements you can take to improve your immune function.
Now, some may say, “There’s no point in supplementing if you have a bad diet.”
But the opposite is true.
Supplements are a proven way to quickly “boost” the immune function of an unhealthy person by correcting key nutritional deficiencies and providing much needed antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial compounds to the body.
One example. A 2020 study found that vitamin D supplementation before or immediately after diagnosis doubled the COVID-19 survival rate of nursing home patients in France.
Generally speaking, the healthier you are, the less benefit you get from supplementation. Having said that, I still like to take supplements and I’m ok with giving my body more than it may need on any given day.
Here’s a video for you showing the supplements I take for immune support especially during cold and flu season. Strengthening your immune system to prevent and fight infections also increases its ability to prevent and heal cancer. So it’s a two-fer!
Many of these supplements and doses below are also recommended by the doctors at the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance for prevention and recovery.
The supplements shown in the video are what I had on had at the time.
I get Beta Glucan, Vitamin D and Curcumin from Better Way Health, because I know the owner personally and I trust their quality. I rotate most other supplement brands, which is a practice I call “supplement hedging.”
Some supplement brands I like can be found on my Amazon page: chrisbeatcancer.com/amazon
*Supplements should be taken with meals unless the label says otherwise.
–Beta Glucan – 500 mg per 50 lbs of bodyweight per day
Watch my interview with Beta Glucan expert AJ Lanigan
-Stamets 7 Mushroom powder – 1/2 tsp per day
-Zinc – 50mg elemental zinc per day
Studies on zinc for Covid-19
-Quercetin – 250mg per day
Studies on quercetin for Covid-19
-Melatonin – 6 mg per night

Not technically supplements:
-Black Seed (Nigella Sativa) or Black Seed Oil
Studies on nigella sativa for Covid-19
-Honey (raw local honey)
Study: Honey and Black Seed reduced Covid-19 mortality by over 400%
The study dose is 1 gram of honey per kg of body weight and 80 mg of black seed per kg of body weight.
That equates to 6 tbsp honey and 3 tsp of black seed per day for a 160 lb person.
You don’t have to take it all at once.
-Iodine Nasal Flush
1 part povidone iodine, 9 parts filtered water in a nasal sprayer. A syringe is the best way to measure and fill up the bottles. Spray solution up each nostril 5 pumps or more. Snort up into nasal cavity then blow out. Do not swallow. And don’t get it on your clothes. It will stain them.
Three things I forgot to mention in the video:
–Propolis Throat Spray – Works wonders for a sore throat
-Raw garlic, which is the #1 anticancer vegetable and a potent antiviral. Check out my Lemon Garlic Extract.
–Lomatium – Although not yet studied for Covid-19, lomatium it is an antiviral herb and we keep it on hand.
Watch my interview with herbalist Jane Barlow-Christensen about lomatium

I've interviewed over 60 people who've healed all types and stages of cancer. Check them out here. Or use the search bar to find survivors of specific cancer types.
I also created a coaching program for cancer patients, caregivers and anyone who is serious about prevention called SQUARE ONE. It contains the step-by-step strategies used by myself and everyone I know who has healed cancer with nutrition and natural, non-toxic therapies.
