Carl Mason was diagnosed with stage IV large cell lymphoma in 1993. He underwent conventional treatment for the next five years, but the cancer kept coming back.
Carl walked away from conventional treatment and adopted a whole-food, plant-based, macrobiotic diet, committed to emotional healing, and began using holistic therapies. He worked through trauma, chronic stress, and life patterns that were impacting his health.
Carl had a traumatic childhood, a life-threatening cancer diagnosis at a young age, and even a period of blindness. Those experiences shaped his outlook and gave him a clearer sense of how he wanted to live.
Healing followed as his life returned to balance.
Carl lived for over 30 years cancer-free. He spent many of those years on Mexico’s Pacific coast and devoted his life to helping others heal. His work went far beyond physical recovery. He taught people how to live with purpose and intention, even in the face of serious illness.
Five years of radiation and chemotherapy treatments caused permanent damage to Carl’s heart and lungs, which became increasingly debilitating in recent years, requiring him to be on oxygen full-time.
Shortly after recording this interview, Carl developed an upper respiratory infection and passed away from pneumonia.
Carl’s 30-year survival after conventional treatment failed is a remarkable accomplishment, and he has invaluable insight and wisdom to share. I’m thankful for the opportunity to interview Carl Mason before he passed.

I've interviewed over 80 people who've healed all types and stages of cancer. Check them out here. Or use the search bar to find survivors of specific cancer types.
I also created a coaching program for cancer patients and anyone who is serious about prevention called SQUARE ONE. It contains the step-by-step strategies used by myself and many others who have healed cancer with a holistic approach using nutrition and natural non-toxic therapies.

What a wonderful and interesting interview. I loved hearing about God’s gift to Carl of the three moose. God speed Carl!
I think this is the second time i heard someone say they were scared to stop doing chemo. At least Carl had the courage to make the switch to a holistic approach before it was too late. Unlike the one that Chris mentioned of the lady who ultimately died. Because she was too afraid to stop the thing that was killing her. So sad.
I was not scared to stop Chemo as after 5 1/2 rounds it was literally killing me. I was relieved after the doctor said, no more Chemo for you. I was coughing and out of breath and many other teriffying swytoms.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. It supports the decisions I am making for myself.
Thank you for this interview…so sad he has passed.
Carl, your words and deeds go beyond your passing and have given me great hope and purpose. Thank you.
Just the renewed encouragement I needed. An amazing, inspiring story! I loved knowing it’s been years of staying the course while providing a hopeful lifeboat and guide to others.
Oh, my, thank you, thank you, Chris, for sharing Carl’s testimony and his unshakable faith. I am in tears….
After a friend died of brain cancer at the age of 30 (she worked in a chemical laboratory), I started researching. This was in 1990. I found that 2 of 3 people die of cancer. I found many other things, including those that were curing cancer, getting pushed out of the medical profession. At that time, you could still buy their books. These were credentialed medical doctors, leaders in their fields, who were pushed out because they were healing people. It was depressing, but realization of the systems failures and the doctors indoctrination of allopathic and sick care medicine is a freedom of itself. Now we rely on ourselves, and trust natures medicines 100%. We go to the Amish, the Mennonites and other communites to find, learn, and share knowledge, and we certainly have made our own tinctures and healing remedies. The people we share space with are not afraid of a snake bite, they treat it themselves without the crap they put in the remedies at the hospitals, you can almost die from the “cure”…and I’ve been researching snake bite cures that “shock” the body, and making the compounds that make your cells die (from a snake bite) ineffective. That being said, cancer cures are all over the world, and 100% banned from any US hospital. Any doctor that tells you about them can be fired, can lose their pension, and their profession, so you can understand why they keep their mouth closed. That being said, some cures are : Gerson Clinic. Hulda Clark Protocol (essentially a de-parasite program with a clean up of your environment and getting rid of toxins in your orbit). I’ve done the healthy body Gerson protocol. It’s stellar. It’s healthy. It helped me get over heartburn, which runs in the family. I’ve done the Hulda Clark Protocol for nasty flus and viruses, and it works if you do it correctly. Yes, I’ve done it wrong, and when you don’t “kill” all the viruses, well, they are still in the body!…So much out there, you may be able to find the info on the many other cures out there, but always print them and make a note where you found. Sometimes, things get wiped. Information I’ve printed out in the 90s, not found. That’s ok. We have each other. And please. Don’t abdicate your authority over your body to anyone. If they treat you like a child, leave. If they don’t want to answer questions that you have, leave. Naturapathic Doctors have SIX years of medical school. Not 4. They try everything the natural way first, and will speak with you as a new patient for up to 2-3 HOURS. Find one near you. You will never regret it. And they do not break the bank. These days, some insurance may cover them.
Thank you Chris and Carl for that touching story as God works many miracles in all our lives we as humans go thorough many many test to become closer to him to have faith and believe he can help us all with whatever problems one may have. Hats of to you all for giving everyone encouragement to choose life and living tank you tank you
When you are diagnosed with cancer and the choices you have for treatment are either chemo or radiotherapy or a combination of both, and you know people who have survived for years after having this treatment, it is a very difficult decision to make. Despite all my scans and blood tests coming back clear, it was recommended I do a few weeks of combined treatment to kill any cancer cells that may remain or had escaped into the lymph nodes around the area the original biopsy was taken. I did start the diet Chris recommended and during treatment I ate very healthily and tried to cut down on sugar and carbs as much as I could. Unfortunately sometimes the chemo treatment can make you crave junk foods. Anyway to this point all is good, I’ve recovered from treatment but I will not be having it again due to the side effects – which weren’t too bad btw but just inconvenient. Many people won’t do the radical diet and lifestyle changes to cure their cancer, and there is no guarantee of a cure anyway even if you do make those changes. It’s a huge lifestyle choice and very difficult.
