Stage IV survivor Johann Ilgenfritz on reversing cancer with diet and lifestyle

“I went from believing cancer was the cause of my illness to realizing it was only a symptom of a sick body.” -Johann Ilgenfritz

Johann Ilgenfritz is a long-term stage IV melanoma survivor and founder of UK Health Radio. Before cancer, he spent nearly two decades working as a fashion photographer in Hamburg and London.

In 2011, he had a heart attack, and six months later, he was diagnosed with melanoma. After radiation treatments failed and the cancer spread, doctors told him he had twelve months to live.

Johann refused that prognosis.

He started researching and quickly learned that cancer was not the root of the problem. It was a symptom of a body under long-term stress.

This prompted Johann to make drastic changes to his diet and lifestyle, focusing on plant-based nutrition, stress reduction, and movement. Over the next two and a half years, his health continued to improve until the cancer was gone.

During his recovery, Johann launched UK Health Radio, now a 24-hour health and wellness station reaching listeners worldwide.

Johann shares the principles that helped him heal through his community, Alkaline Collective, and in his recently published book Reversing Cancer: You Caused It, You Can Reverse It.  In this follow-up conversation, he shares practical steps people can take to support their health.

I’m thankful for Johann’s passion for helping others, and I appreciate that we are like-minded in our healing approach and our belief that healing is possible.

“Good health is a choice.” -Johann Ilgenfritz

Thanks for this interview. I was diagnosed with BC in 2022 & was given Chris’s book & information. I also would not allow myself to think or embrace any
Opinion other than I was going to be well & live.

      Pamela,

I agree with your statement. The power of being positive and optimistic towards your wellness journey is a big step. I mute the commercials instead of listening about all the drugs and medications they have out there for any little disease. Nutrition is key to wellness and don’t forget the exercise. Good health and wellness to you!

I have followed you for years!!!! I have been on a journey of clean living, plant based diet, moderate exercise. But all those good things couldn’t battle the chronic stress I wasn’t managing…I was in SHOCK when I was diagnosed in November with colon cancer. Then I realized because of the continued stress, my immune system became compromised and the cancer was able to grow into a tumor.
I appreciated the podcast tonight. You and Johann hit on many important aspects of being responsible. Sometimes it takes a BIG wake call to make changes. I was in a very toxic marriage and I filed for a divorce in January. Even though the divorce process is very stressful, I give thanks everyday for the quiet, calm home environment I now live in.
Thanks Chris for continuing to provide positive information and support.
    Gratefully, Anna J
