There is no greater teacher on forgiveness than Jesus Christ. Forgiveness was the core tenet of His ministry on earth. Jesus taught us how to receive God’s love and mercy, freedom from guilt and shame, and He taught us how to forgive others.
Anger, bitterness, and resentment will wreck your health and keep you sick.
Holding on to these toxic emotions creates chronic stress. It keeps you in a state of perpetual misery and slowly corrupts your soul.
Oftentimes, the thing you want to do least is the thing you need to do most.
Forgiveness is one of those things.
Forgiveness will transform your life more than any diet, supplement, exercise routine, or drug therapy.
I’ve compiled Jesus’ teachings on forgiveness from the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) so I could have it all in one place for me and for you.
Everything you need to know about forgiveness is right here in this post. Be blessed!
Jesus forgives and heals
“One day, Jesus was teaching, and there were Pharisees (religious leaders) and teachers of the law sitting, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was there for Him to perform healing. And men were carrying on a bed a man who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of Him. But not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.” The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
But Jesus, aware of their reasonings, answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But, so that you may know that the Son of Man* has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—He said to the paralytic—“I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home.” Immediately, he got up before them, and picked up what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God. They were all struck with astonishment and glorifying God; and they were filled with fear (awe and wonder), saying, “We have seen remarkable things today.” -Luke 5:17-26 (also found in Matthew 9:1-9 and Mark 2:1-12)
*Jesus refers to himself as “the Son of Man,” which is the Messiah prophesied in Daniel 7:13-14, and He demonstrated His authority, power, and love by forgiving sins and healing the sick.
Seek forgiveness. Be reconciled.
Jesus said to His people, the Jews, “Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar (for the forgiveness of your sins), and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.” -Matthew 5:23-24
You can’t wrong others and expect religious activities to put you in good standing with God.
If you have wronged someone, go make it right.
Love your enemies
Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Even the Gentiles, do they not do the same? Therefore, you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” -Matthew 5:43-48
“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who are abusive to you. Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic from him either. Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. But love your enemies and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil people. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” -Luke 6:27-36
Forgiveness is an act of mercy
Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.” -Matthew 5:7
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” -Luke 6:36-38
“As Jesus was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.
When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”
“No, Lord,” she said.
And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” -John 8:1-11
How many times should we forgive?
Jesus said, “Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” -Luke 17:3-4
Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. For this reason, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. And when he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents (approximately 60 million days’ wages) was brought to him. But since he did not have the means to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment be made.
So the servant fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’ And the master of that servant felt compassion, and he released him and forgave him the debt.
But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii (100 days’ wages); and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe me!’
So his fellow servant fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’ But he was unwilling, and went and threw him in prison until he would pay back what was owed.
So when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their master all that had happened. Then summoning him, his master said to him, ‘You wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow servant, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’ And his master, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he would repay all that was owed him.
My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.” -Matthew 18:21-35
Forgiveness in The Lord’s Prayer
Jesus said, “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’”
“For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.” -Matthew 6:12-15
Unforgiveness disqualifies you from forgiveness
Jesus said, “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” -Mark 11:25-26
Jesus did not mince words or make exceptions. If you do not forgive others, God will not forgive you.
Jesus forgave His enemies from the cross
“And when they came to the place called Golgotha “The Skull,” there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” and they cast lots dividing up his garments among themselves.” -Luke 23:33-34
“One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Jesus, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” And Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” -Luke 23:39-43
Jesus demonstrated forgiveness for His enemies, those who conspired to murder Him, while they jeered and reveled in His suffering on the cross. He chose to forgive them in midst of agonizing pain and humiliation to show us that forgiveness is possible in every circumstance.
I never feel like forgiving. But I do it anyway, because…
Forgiveness is not a feeling. It’s a choice.
If Jesus can forgive from the cross, you can forgive the people who have hurt you.
Jesus speaks about forgiving after His resurrection
So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of (persecution from) the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side (the wounds from His crucifixion). The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” -John 20:19-23
If you forgive someone, you are releasing their sin. If you don’t forgive, you are holding on to it.
Jesus’ purpose was forgiveness
Jesus said to His disciples, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “So it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” -Luke 24:44-49
Jesus is calling you to Him
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you (let Me guide you) and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” -Matthew 11:28-30
Forgiveness overwhelms you with love and gratitude
“Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him (Jesus) to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume, and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume. Now, when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner.”
And Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he replied, “Say it, Teacher.” “A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?” Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave Me no kiss; but since the time I came in, she has not ceased to kiss My feet. You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume. For this reason I say to you, she loves much because her sins, which are many, have been forgiven; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.” Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” -Luke 7:36-50
You aren’t too far gone to be forgiven
Jesus said, “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.
Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him.
But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.” So he got up and came to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.”
This is how much your Heavenly Father wants to see you return to Him.
How to receive God’s forgiveness and freedom from guilt and shame
Every single one of us is guilty of sin (lying, cheating, stealing, gossip, envy, pride, prejudice, lust, idolatry, sexual sin… and so much more). We are all corrupted by sin and deserving of punishment, death, and hell. Jesus said, “But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.” -John 3:16
Jesus loves you so much that He took your place–He took your punishment–on the cross. And God the Father poured out His wrath for all sin onto Jesus, His Son. Jesus’ suffering on the cross paid the penalty for all sin.
The Apostle Paul explains, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:6-7
Jesus’ death was a preemptive pardon for everyone willing to receive it.
There is a simple condition to receive forgiveness for your sin, and that is to accept and believe that Jesus paid the penalty for you, and to repent. Repent means to turn away from sinful behavior and stop doing it. Stop lying, stop cheating, stop stealing, stop being envious, stop lusting, stop hurting others, etc. God gave us a conscience to convict us of sin. Most of us know what we are doing wrong, but if you are unsure, just ask God to show you the sin in your life you need to repent of, and He will.
Every time we screw up, our Heavenly Father is ready and willing to forgive us.
The Apostle John explains the process simply and beautifully, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” -1 John 1:9
If you confess your sin and turn away from it, you can have confidence that your Heavenly Father has forgiven you and cleansed you from ALL unrighteousness. He wipes the slate clean!
Once you get right with God and receive His love and forgiveness, it becomes easier to forgive others.
Praying to receive God’s love and forgiveness
Here is a simple prayer of repentance and faith to get right with God.
Thank you Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sin on the cross. I repent of my sin… I want to know you… I want to follow you, Jesus… I surrender to You as my Lord and Savior. I give you my heart, and I trust you with my life and my future. Thank you for loving me… Thank you for healing me… Thank you for saving me… Amen
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” -Romans 10:9-10
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” -Romans 10:13
Praying to forgive others
You can use this framework to talk honestly to God and to forgive those who have hurt you. You must forgive every person who hurt you by name, until there is no one left. You don’t have to do it all in one sitting. Ask the Lord who you need to forgive, and with that person in mind, pray something like this, preferably out loud.
Father, you know what they did to me… and you know how I feel about it… I’m angry and I’m hurt and I don’t want to forgive… But I am choosing to forgive them… I am letting go of my anger and bitterness, and resentment, and I am giving it all to you. They are all yours… I’m not going to carry this anymore. And I am asking you to be merciful toward them and to bless them. Thank you for your mercy and for all the blessings in my life. Forgive me for holding on to this anger for so long… Thank you, Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sin on the cross. Thank you for forgiving me… In Your Name I pray, Amen.
Forgiveness heals your heart
Forgiveness is the antidote to the poison of bitterness. Forgiveness heals your battered, bruised, and broken heart. Forgiveness is leaving the burdensome baggage of your past behind. Your pain will subside, and your feelings about those who hurt you will change after you decide to forgive them. You will start to see them as God sees them, as broken, hurting people who need love, mercy, and forgiveness themselves.
Forgiveness is like a healthy diet. It only works if you stick with it.
Forgiveness is a decision for life. If resentment starts to creep in, you must quickly reject those feelings and turn them back over to God. Remember what Jesus said. If someone hurts you again, forgive them again. Be quick to forgive and just keep forgiving.
The Apostle Paul encourages us to “be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” -Ephesians 4:32
Confession, forgiveness, and healing
The Apostle James writes, “Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church, and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” -James 5:13-16
The Forgiveness Action Plan
-Confess your sins and receive God’s love and forgiveness
-Ask for forgiveness from those you have hurt
-Forgive everyone who has hurt you.

Forgiveness is hard work, and not fun, but worth it!
I think the hardest reality I face is the deception of the medical system in our lifetime. I have 2 grandchildren “harmed” by vaccines. Truths we’ve known for years are just now being made public. I have a great contempt for that agenda. I became a Certified Holistic Cancer Coach because when my husband was diagnosed in May of 2017, I knew “they” would kill him with their toxic interventions. At times I do get so angry over how many people are talked into the standard of care treatments out of fear. They submit, then they are declared to be “cancer free”; but they are not…because “it will always come back”. The recent shots that were mandated and the end results have been horrific = more people have succumb to heart issues, cancer and even death. I’m not sure how to forgive the medical mafia. We have a huge conglomerate in WV through WVU Medicine that is fighting to not have moral and religious exemptions for school children. WV is one of 5 States that does not allow these necessary exemptions. My grandchildren are in the public school system. My son recently divorced his wife of 17 years and she is very difficult to deal with. She has a history of drugs, gambling and more recently an affair. Both of the children have had to be in counseling. Both of these children are facing more of these mandated shots. It’s so criminal and evil. We do pray about it. We do pray that more people receive the same revelations we have in order to make right choices and decisions. I appreciate the Square One Source and the Facebook Group as well as other Divine Connections I’ve made to help us in our healing journey. Thank You and God Bless.
Just what I needed to hear today after being angry the last few days. After healing my 12 yr old daughter from being sick for a week from what may have been COVID she was able to make it on the 2 day camping trip with her 7th grade class. Being grateful for her to have a positive experience I was sad to retrieve her from the camp early the last night as she said she wasn’t feeling well. I thought she had a relapse but when I got her I found out the reason she wanted to leave was because her nose hurt. I guess it was foggy and she forgot to put on her sunscreen and ended up w a first degree burn to her nose. Thankfully we have been treating it sooner since she knew to get help from me. But you can see how disappointed I was in the staff (and chaperones) for not addressing it or at least reminding the kids to put sunscreen on. In my anger I was wishing I had never let her go at all. But I am trying to let go and now I will remember to practice forgiveness.
(And to be honest I believe my anger also stemmed from recalling all of the health issues I have had to heal my children from in this era.)
Thanks Chris
I agree about the medical deception too. My son was harmed from a vaccine as well and I realize how blessed I am that he is fine now and we were able to heal him, unlike so many others. But it took such a tole on our family.
And this has been a terribly challenging time to raise kids.
Praying for your son and grandkids
I feel exactly the same way you do regarding the medical Mafia in this country and the murders they have committed through the so-called vaccines. I am an RN of 50 years and just like doctors, we were taught nothing in school about vaccines. But I have learned more than I want to know in the last 5 years.
Do you watch Dr Brian Ardis podcast and the many documentaries by Jonathan Otto in regard to healing from the covid shot diseases? Jonathan Otto’s documentaries interview so many excellent doctors who have healed people from diseases produced by the covid shot. And attorneys who are fighting for personal and religious exemptions.
Also suggest your son at goes to Al-Anon and your grandchildren to Alateen which are 12-step programs to recover from the family effects of living with an addict or alcoholic. My husband died from addiction and Al-Anon saved my own sanity and life.
I thank God everyday for these doctors who are warriors of light who lost their licenses because they were curing covid from day one. And now they continue to heal people who are chronically ill from the covid shot. Gratitude for these heroes is how I practice forgiveness for the evil perpetrated by those in power who orchestrated this debacle.
God bless you and your family.
UGhHH. I hear you . WV is the worst. That states’ policies and enforcers have hurt my family tremendously. I swear they took years off my life. I have since moved out of state and couldn’t be happier about that decision. But there are still the old wounds that run deep. . . .
I’am sending my support, love, gratitude and all my prayers to you. Thank you for sharing as we here in California are struggling with these same issues within our families. You’re not alone, God is with you, God stands with all his faithful. Faith are the roots, spirit is your trunk, gentle unwavering love and mercy are your leaves. My prayers and love are with you and your family. God bless you
Thank you so much for sharing, Frankie. I understand completely! I think there is a place for righteous anger toward corruption and evil systems in our world, as long as it moves you toward prayer and positive action and trusting the Lord with things we can’t control, rather than perpetual anxiety, depression, and despair. :)
Thank you this was a great reminder and refresher, keeping Jesus number one in our lives and giving everything to Him, thanks again
Thank you, Chris. I have problems feeling that I am unforgiven by God despite being familiar with the verses you brought out today. It always helps to hear it told though, positive reinforcement to counteract negative thinking. Thank you for bringing this out today, it is very encouraging and much needed information. We need to seek God’s forgiveness and then do his will set our priorities right, so we don’t waste our small lifespans on frivolous attainments that bring us zero happiness in the end. Marlo
I am so glad to know that this was encouraging to you Marlo!
Thank you, Chris. I needed this today.
AMEN! Salvation Starts with Repentance!!!
Beautifully written. After watching what is going on now with Christian Nationalism, it makes appreciate even more what Jesus true message is. As all religions speak of forgiveness I hope one day we can all come together in love and understanding with forgiveness. Thanks for your work Chris
Dear Chris and Team!
Thank you for your wonderful effort in helping us all to heal from this gross disease that no one wants.
I have listened to your ‘square one’ podcasts and purchased the program which arrived just a few days ago. I’m definitely grateful to have had the opportunity to own the complete dvd set and the books so I can refer to them time and again. I love the fact that our Lord plays a huge part in it all and the way you incorporate His teachings about forgiveness and mercy to each other. It’s definitely a very powerful part of our being and how much difference it makes when taken seriously and applied in the correct manner. Thank God for His endless love and mercy.
All the way from Australia THANK YOU and may GOD bless You and your family abundantly.
Keep up the amazing work.
P.S. I am working (with your help) on getting rid of the cancer off my liver which started of as a NAFLD.
So far I’ve had chemotherapy, seven cycles out of the proposed eight. Immunotherapy didn’t work on me and now waiting to have S.I.R.T.
I have come across ChrisBeatsCancer just recently and definitely want to continue with it as it really ‘feels right’ for me.
Thank you all so much
With love and respect

Nicely done, Chris! The message of forgiveness never goes out of style and it is definitely needed in our society today. Thanks for this post.
You’re welcome!
Thank you, Chris. I needed this.
Chris, this is exactly what our world needs today! Forgiveness would bring SO much healing to not only our nation, but to our world! Thank you for sharing these wonderful encouraging words of Jesus that bring us so much peace, comfort, and joy. May God continue to bless you and your precious family for all that you do to keep us healthy and strong, and to make Jesus, and His gift of salvation known to so many!
Thank you so much for the blessing and encouragement Margie!
Thank you for your thoughts and references to the scriptures. I would like to give the correct scripture for the verses you quoted on confessing Jesus as Lord—Romans 10:9-10 (not 8:9-10).
Thank you for sharing!
Acts 2:36-39
Thank you for the correction Pat!!!
Chris, I am one of those who found your website, studied it thoroughly and copied your green drink and supplement suggestions. I don’t remember if I found you when I was mistakenly diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016 or when I was diagnosed (correctly) with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (non-Hodgkin) in 2021. Whenever it was, I daily acted on your suggestions and turned down chemo and radiation. Those important lifestyle changes along with diet changes and other therapies have given me the past 4 years of cancer-free life. I am so thankful for your work!
Your message above about forgiveness is also right on target and I am so appreciative of your willingness and courage to post it. We live in a world that has moved far from sanity, reality, common sense, and the foundational principles of life found in God’s Word. We Christians must be the salt and light in this world and tell about Jesus’ forgiveness available to all who will surrender to Him. The people of this world need Him.
Always good to see your Christian faith shining forth in your emails. It is always better to forgive, you can’t hold on to resentment and unforgiveness without it eating into yourself. Sometimes we don’t forget and many times we can recall our hurts and disappointments but forgiveness is in our hands. I think it is in Psalms it says, ‘If you O Lord kept a record of sins, who could stand before You’ so that’s a good way to think about it. God doesn’t hold a list of all our sins when we trust in Him. Therefore we should forgive others as in the Lord’s Prayer.
Good analogy.
Thank you Chris for your love and dedication to teach people a way forward to health and wholeness. I have sat this last hour reading this article and reading up the scriptures in my bible. It is the most peace I have felt these last few days as things here have been a bit rocky. So I am thankful to your for your enlightenment. God bless you and your family.
I needed this…now and in the future. Forgiveness is hard for me, so I will treat it as a daily exercise.
I will prevail with God’s help. I will forgive.
Truly, when we forgive, we release ourselves from stress. And God counsels us how to do it, so we can have “the peace of God”:
“Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6, 7)
Thank you, Chris – I really appreciate this compilation and printed it out to study and share. It really helped me with a specific questions about lending with no expectation.
Thank you Chris for all that you do. I follow you daily and have all of your books. I love your monthly posts, questions and answers. I have not had cancer and hopefully never will. I’m 79 and have been vegan for 30 years. I was saved at 12 years of age and have never stopped believing. My husband and I attend a nondenominational church and are members of the Prayer Team. God bless you Chris and your family. You are truly a gift from Good.
Thank you for sharing your message, I needed this beautiful reminder and will be sharing this with family and friends.
Thank you so much Chris!
This is very important for me.
I don’t have problem to forgive. I always say – Let God be the Judge!
The real problem for me is how to FORGET. It comes to me on its own. My memory reminds me of it…
The only thing I can do is to forbid myself to think about it. To switch my mind on different things.
Thanks again.
Hi Stella. I understand that. What I do is: Instead of putting painful memories out of my mind, I confront them when they come up. I choose to forgive and/or remind myself that I have forgiven them and say a quick prayer for God to bless them. I think there is a final destination on the forgiveness path, and that is when you can remember without pain. You will get there! :)
Wow, this is indeed a mega-post! Thank you!
I think, although I am not religious, forgiving is very powerful.
As a holistic therapist, I have dealt with clients who (finally) could truly forgive, but some who really couldn’t. If you hold on to resentment and grudge, it is like drinking a cup of poison yourself, and expecting the other one to fall down.
Forgiving means letting go of the burden you are carrying. It has nothing to do with approving with what has happened, what the other did or didn’t do. Forgiving helps you yourself of letting go of what is keeping you down. I use visualisations while forgiving, actually letting it all go, seeing it, feeling it, maybe even hearing or tasting it. You can actually feel the weight falling off your shoulders.
100% Yes!
What a beautiful way to start my day, reading this message! Praise the Lord for His mercies and His work in the life of Chris Wark. Chris beat Cancer has been inspiring me since my son’s cancer journey in 2015. May the Lord continue to bless us all through His servant, Chris.
Thank you, Anna. I praise Him for His mercy and love!
Thank you for this well-timed reminder of the great power of forgiveness to transform not only ourselves and our health, but our relationships and even our communities and the world. When I remember how I have been forgiven, who am I to withhold forgiveness from anyone, even those who are not repentent—who, in fact, believe their behavior is justified? My imperfections disqualify me from judging anyone. Having forgiven my abusers, I feel so free from the knot of resentment and the sickening feeling that comes when one recognizes their own overblown ego. You continue to be a great blessing to me and to all you teach, Chris. Thank you for being so courageous in the health arena and bold in sharing the gospel of peace.
Thank you, Chris! I hope to share this with family members that don’t yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Appreciate your heart for people, their health (both physically and spiritually), and your heart for Jesus and God’s Word. I am thankful that more people are realizing our bodies are on overload from toxins ( unforgiveness, stress, parasites, heavy metals, mold, wifi frequencies, bad water, chems, lack of nutrients, glyphosate) and that this toxic overload is generally the culprit for C A N C E R. Thank you for being a champion for health and wholeness both physically and spiritually! God bless!
Chris, thank you for what you do! Your 10 best anti cancer foods video helped me heal from cancer. I think going vegan helps but the anti cancer foods make the real difference. Whenever the subject of cancer comes up I tell people to go to your website and get the Square One series. I love that you share the gospel. Keep it up, bro!! J.C. loves you!!!
