My Three Favorite Charities for 2011

So this is kind of like “part two” of my 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.
In today’s post I’m sharing my three favorite charities!
Despite what you may think, none of them are cancer charities.

Please check them out and consider supporting them this Christmas season.

Thanks!

Stacy Jett: Late Stage Melanoma Survivor Since 2003

On April 1, 2003 I was diagnosed w/ a late stage 3b, malignant melanoma that had ulcerated and after a sentinal node biopsy they discovered that the cancer was in my lymph nodes. I learned to follow my intuition, I learned that fear had no place (except to motivate) in cancer recovery. Too many patients put their life into the hands who have no true interest in your survival. Why do we do this? “Bad” patients i think have higher survivor rates because they are willing to actually think outside the box and don’t fold under “an authority figure”…

The Showerwise Shower Filter

Is there anyone in the world that doesn’t love to take long, hot, steamy showers?
No. There is not.
Which is why this is going to bum you out:
Taking long hot showers exposes you to more toxic chemicals than actually drinking 2 liters of the same water!
This is because toxins evaporate out of the water into steam and are inhaled directly into your lungs. They are also absorbed through your skin.
Chlorine alone has been linked to allergies, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, heart disease, strokes, cancer, and even premature aging of your skin.

The Showerwise Shower Filter  removes 95% of chlorine as well as iron, lead, mercury, hydrogen sulfide, etc. It also inhibits bacterial, fungal and mildew growth.
I never thought my shower steam had an “odor” until I installed our Showerwise filter.  I noticed right away that the smell of the shower steam was different. In fact there was no smell at all. The chlorine odor (and who knows what else) was gone.  It comes with a massaging shower head and the filter lasts up to18 months.

Angie: Breast Cancer Survivor Since 1998

Hi Chris,
Just found your website through Bill Henderson’s monthly newsletter.
Excellent website! Good for you!
I beat breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 1998.
My doctor wanted me to have a mastectomy, do chemo & radiation.
I opted (against her advice) for a lumpectomy with NO chemo or radiation.
I followed the raw diet, juicing, fasting, vitamins, coffee enemas for 2 years.
I have been cancer-free for 13 years!
I went back to eating a SAD (Standard American Diet), but your website has given me inspiration to get back on the raw, organic foods diet. I had much more energy then…
Thanks!
Angie

Cut Poison Burn

If you have a child diagnosed with cancer the government can force you to subject your child to chemotherapy and radiation treatments. And if you don’t comply, Child Protective Services can take your child away.

Hard to believe, but it’s true.

Cut Poison Burn is a very powerful documentary about the Cancer Industry and the Navarro family’s fight with the government to get the cancer treatment of their choice for their little boy.
I watched an advance screening of this film and met the producer at the Cancer Control Convention in LA, Labor Day weekend 2011. Every American should watch this film.
